Shaping Your SNP Messaging
SHARE

It has been two weeks since the close of the Annual Enrollment Period and most Medicare Advantage Plans have switched to their SNP messaging. Have you thought about actually taking a break and going dark with your marketing until the 1st of the year?

TRAFFIK has seen much success with our plans in doing just that. This allows prospects to have closure point from the “ACT NOW” messaging of AEP and the new “You Can Still Switch” messaging. In TRAFFIK’s many years in the Medicare space, we have consistently found that pieces dropped too soon after the end of AEP fall flat.

People just don’t believe or understand the message. This is especially true since the AEP deadline has been moved to 12/7, while trying to market through the holidays. So, while you are sitting back and actually enjoying the holidays, here are some questions you should be asking yourself about your SNP marketing plan:

How do I find prospects that will qualify for my plan?

What do I need to say to them to get them to act?

While these are some really basic questions, you would be surprised how many clients we talk to that can’t answer them. They know what they want to say and spend a ton of money pushing pieces and content promoting their message. Notice the question was not phrased as “What message do you want prospects to hear,” but rather “What message will get them to act?”

With over 15 years of experience working in the Medicare space, TRAFFIK understands the value of testing the overall message and continuing to hone such messaging, along with its benefits and creative to what works. Let us look at your plan holistically, starting at the very basics to ensure that the foundation of your plan is solid and resonates with your audience.

Whether it’s through market research, media purchases or requesting a data pull for direct mail, our team realizes the necessity of a balance between corporate mandated marketing and messaging that consumers need and want to hear.
